Thought of the day

Friends opinions are valueable, having outside perspectives and different point of view. A person outside the sandbox can sometimes see how messy things are. Its important to realize that their opinions will have their thoughts, feelings, and justifcations rolled up in it.

They can usually only offer advice with an attached tag line saying, this is how I think things should be or this is what is right for me so anyone who shares their point of view is also probably right. But, even when two people agree its hard to determine to what degree. All takes time and effort.

So, advice from friends gets me though tough times. It helps me figure things out. Some time a neutral ear lets you figure things out for yourself. But, their opinion is not yours, nor is it the person your having issues with. When taking advice or re-analizing your point, don't lose track of the essence of who you are.

It's nice to be able to see this from all sides too. Both as the giver of and receiver of advice from someone out of the situation...
