Thought of the day

2 tier health system is not Canadian. We all know that anyone who is well off can can fly and pay for any procedure in other parts of the world with no wait time. But in this nation we do not treat ppl based on their income.

If no one in politics, business, or anyone who earns a half decent wage used the public health system. Who would lobby to maintain it and improve it as the years past.

Why would good doctors stay in the public system when they could make so much more in the private system?

We would end up with a system that is not well maintained and serviced by young, goodhearted, or bad doctors.

Regardless of what politician promises, once it is done. It can not be undone no matter how bad it gets.

yeah. you just posted this 10 minutes ago. dude, i need to go to bed!!

interesting post topic. i like your argument but my favourite part is the first line. It's not canadian. that's simple. and it's true.

I never feel more like a canadian than just after watching coverage of the Liberal Convention. That's been true since the 90s. And I just watched about 16 hours of CPAC this weekend covering the latest and best liberal convention EVER. I am sooooooo Canadian right now... omg. don't tell my dad, but I think I'm... duhduhduhhhhhh a liberal. oh man, I'm so dead if he finds out.

yes, it is definitely NOT the cure the ailing health care system needs. I hate how people mention the failings right now of things like wait times etc and conclude that we DO need this system.. 2 tier my ass
